Over the past few months I have been doing what I can to use the internet less, I've embraced the indieweb and started having control over my online presence and I've found that having an online presence isn't actually that important. I enjoy creating and sharing it online but as far as the social media stuff goes, I just can't ever keep my head in it.

Just been out for a big walk. I took my audio recording equipment to record some ambient sound and stuff. I’m thinking about maybe making some looping ambient montage to meditate to. I live in a town and nature grounds me. I want to make a 24/7 stream of it.

I've loved internet radio since I first went online and have dabbled with it a lot. For over 20 years I've wanted to be able to broadcast live audio whilst I'm not sat in front of a computer screen because it can be a bit distracting. Over the past month or so I've been researching into how to do that with a Raspberry Pi and some other bits and it's turned into a strange homebrew project that is taking up most of my brain power. I'm getting closer to it and it's really exciting!

I’ve got a project that I am working on, at least in my head. I have an idea for a nature soundscape that loops 24/7 and because of the lengths of the layers and loops it’ll take days to sync up the same way again so in theory, if you listen it at different times of the day, it’ll be a little different. It’ll be like a digital hideaway, close your eyes and you’re there.

I’m currently working on a project and I’m vibe coding it. I know AI is bad but I don’t know how to code the kind of thing I want to do. I’m basically getting something put together that I’ve wanted for years: a way to broadcast audio (such as a podcast) and have an archive of the stream available as soon as the stream is finished. For me personally, it’ll streamline the bits I don’t really enjoy doing, the editing etc. I’ve got it working to a degree but the ultimate plan is to get the means to broadcast a podcast from wherever I am and all I have to do is talk into a microphone.
